GripAlyzeR
is used to conduct
and record trials in an experiment, analyze,
quantify and plot the results for data
obtained with the gripper hardware. The
software communicates with the Gripper
device through a DAQPad and the device
interface to acquire force sensor data.
The
force sensor data obtained from the Gripper
IV are segmented based on the pulling force
into an initial stable phase, a loading
phase, a disengagement phase, and regaining
stability phase. In healthy persons, grip
and pulling forces increase linearly and
proportionally. Departures suggest motor
control problems.
